Pneumatic family · Terminal configuration
Pneumatic ship-unloading system
The official detail describes a negative-pressure intake and air/material separation before downstream conveying. Its design ranges require a cargo- and terminal-specific proposal.
Follow the material and air as separate paths
- Intake. A suction nozzle mixes material with air; the source describes a hydraulically operated suction arm carrying the pipe.
- Separation. The negative-pressure source draws the mixture into a separator, where material is separated from the air.
- Discharge. Material passes through the airlock/discharge device into the subsequent conveying system.
The official component list includes nozzle, hydraulic/mechanical arm, separation/discharge device, air source and electrical controls. [1] “Subsequent conveying” is a project interface: establish whether the proposal includes the actual pipeline, conveyors, silo connection or truck-loading equipment.
A design range is not your guaranteed operating point
- Stated configurable output
- 50–400 TPH
- Stated vessel range
- 500–50,000 DWT
- Listed cargo examples
- Cement, mineral powder, coal ash, alumina, grain and fertilizer powders/granules
- Exact configured values
- Machine code, power, reach, dimensions, loads and cargo-specific performance require a proposal.
These figures come from the pneumatic detail. [1] The broader unloading-category page mentions vessels up to 100,000 DWT across multiple principles; do not extend the pneumatic range from that category heading. The original cross-family questionnaire has 800/1,200 t/h boxes; those are enquiry choices, not evidence of a pneumatic model rating. [2]
Remote operation and fault-warning management are advertised capabilities. The page’s enclosed/green wording is not a quantified dust-emission, exposure, noise or environmental-compliance result.
Select a mounting form against the actual terminal
| Form | Project review | Evidence to return |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed on wharf | Ship positions, reach, tide/hold access and foundation interfaces | Layout, structural loads and defined working envelope |
| Rail-mobile | Travel distance, rail section/gauge, wheel-load limits and cables | Rail/structure compatibility and receiving-conveyor interface |
| Tyre-mobile | Travel area, surface, positioning and utility connections | Site-specific support/movement and operating arrangements |
| Ship-mounted fixed | Vessel installation and discharge connection | Actual vessel/structure and interface review by responsible parties |
The rail detail says the receiver can be connected by mechanical or pneumatic conveying. [3] It does not supply a universal wheel load. The official enquiry form explicitly asks for separate water-side and land-side allowed wheel loads, clearance, rail gauge and conveyor/cable locations. [2]
Make two proposals comparable
Define the same material
Supply density and relevant moisture/particle/handling properties. The original form asks about abrasion, adhesion, hygroscopic behaviour, bridging and fragility, separately for each cargo.
Define the same route
Provide a dimensioned plan and vertical/horizontal distances, bends, silo dimensions/quantity and receiving constraints. Name every supplied and excluded interface.
- State the duty definition. Requested net/sustained throughput, measurement period and allowed operating conditions.
- State interruptions and clean-out. Agree how repositioning, residual cargo and receiving downtime affect the measured result.
- State acceptance and responsibility. Cargo/test availability, measurement method, site works, installation, commissioning and handover.
This is a buyer’s comparison framework, not a supplier performance test. Operational safety, access, maintenance and controls require the terminal’s applicable review; ILO’s port code is guidance, not this equipment’s certification. [4]
Does 400 TPH apply to every listed cargo and vessel?
No such combined guarantee is established by the catalogue. Ask for the configured machine and duty basis for your cargo, route and vessel/berth geometry.
