01 / WHAT MUYANG SUPPLIES
Which part should Muyang quote?
Muyang can deliver a raw blank, a machined component or a finished part. Each one is priced and accepted differently.
Muyang’s English catalogue has three process groups: casting, CNC machining and forging. The construction bracket sits under CNC machining. The listing names no excavator make, installation position or load rating, so order it as a custom component built to your drawing. [1] [2]
CHOOSE YOUR PROCUREMENT SCOPE
Buying the casting or forging blank
Give the alloy, forming route, blank dimensions and machining allowance. Mark which surfaces stay as-formed and what material or defect inspection you need. Downstream machining sits outside the quote unless you add it.
Buying to the machining drawing
Give the blank route plus finished datums, bores, threads, hole positions and surface requirements. Agree which dimensions Muyang inspects and how each report cites the approved revision. A final coating that is not in the quote stays a separate operation.
Buying the completed component
Give the alloy, heat treatment where specified, finish, masked areas, final dimensional checks and batch documents. For each critical feature, state whether inspection happens before or after treatment. Specify packing that protects the finished surfaces.
Your choice here shapes the brief below. Muyang sets its offer in the quotation.
Choose one material and finish combination
The bracket page offers stainless grades such as SS304/SS316, AISI 1045 carbon steel, brass/bronze and aluminium grades including 6061/7075. These are the material options on offer; the pictured bracket’s own alloy is not stated. The page also lists milling, drilling, grinding and broaching, plus several coating and finish options. [2]
Write one material specification and one finish on the enquiry. Aluminium anodising and plated steel, for example, are separate purchase definitions.
02 / FIRST ARTICLE, THEN REPEAT ORDERS
Make sample approval a visible milestone.
Muyang publishes one sequence for samples and another for production orders. [2]
- 01
Agree the drawing and requirements
Start with a controlled revision, supplied condition, material and critical features. Agree which manufacturing route this bracket needs.
- 02
Create the tooling and blank
Muyang lists these sample stages: mould production 15–25 days, die trial 1–2 days, blank production 2–3 days, and tooling/fixture preparation 5–7 days.
- 03
Machine and treat the sample
Sample machining takes 3–7 days; heat treatment and surface treatment take 2–3 days each. Your drawing and route decide which operations apply.
- 04
Inspect, approve and release
Muyang’s sequence ends with sample inspection and testing, packing and shipping. Set your own sample acceptance documents and issue a written production release once the sample passes.
Each figure is a per-stage estimate. Queueing, overlapping steps and drawing revisions change the total, so ask Muyang for a dated schedule against your drawing.
What changes on a repeat order?
The production-order sequence starts with material 5–7 days, blank production 7–15 days and machining 7–15 days, then treatment, inspection and shipment. The mould stage drops out. Agree the approved revision, who owns the moulds and fixtures, how their condition is kept, and which changes call for new samples. [2]
Ask for tooling, sample and repeat-piece prices on separate lines. Have Muyang name the routing it will use, any outsourced operations and who is responsible for acceptance. That turns the website sequence into a plan for your part.
03 / CAPABILITY TO ACCEPTANCE
Link equipment to the records you need.
The machines and instruments Muyang shows on its website.
Muyang’s equipment page lists CNC turning, milling, drilling and tapping; an investment-casting line; heating and heat-treatment furnaces; and a friction screw press. It also lists material and mechanical-test instruments. [4]
| Equipment Muyang lists | What it controls on your part | Record to request |
|---|---|---|
| CNC turning / milling / drilling & tapping | Finished interfaces, datums and hole features | Dimensional report tied to drawing revision and feature-specific tolerances |
| Spectroscope | Alloy composition where required | Batch material traceability and an agreed chemistry record |
| Tensile tester / Brinell hardness gauge | Specified strength and hardness | Applicable test method, specimen, acceptance limits and batch report |
| Metallographic microscope / heat-treatment furnace | Required material structure or treatment condition | Process and test records where the drawing requires them |
The right-hand columns are a planning guide. At quotation, agree which reports come with the price, how the instruments are calibrated and how often batches are tested.
Does the advertised ±0.01 mm tolerance apply everywhere?
Read ±0.01 mm as Muyang’s general machining figure. On your drawing, separate as-cast surfaces from machined interfaces and list critical bores, datum faces and hole positions one by one. Agree the measuring method and the part condition at measurement for each. [2]
04 / COMPANY CONTEXT
Check the supplying site and quality documents.
The English introduction lists OEM metal parts for railway, automotive, fitness-equipment and valve applications, next to the construction bracket catalogue. Muyang is a component supplier; it does not build complete construction machines. Its English contact details give an address in Qiudong Village, Yinzhou District, Ningbo. [3]
Two quality-system references
The company introduction says Muyang obtained IATF 16949 in 2020. The bracket listing uses ISO 9001:2008 wording. Ask for the current certificate with its issuing body, legal holder, covered site, scope and validity, and check that it covers the quoted operations. [3] [2]
Ask for the legal supplying entity and site address together with the quotation.
05 / YOUR DRAWING ENQUIRY
Send a part definition the supplier can price.
Start with the drawing revision and supplied condition. A photograph alone leaves too many open questions.
State the bracket’s function and one material standard. Mark critical interfaces and the inspection output you need. Price initial tooling and samples apart from repeat parts, and agree how changes after sample approval are revised and requalified. Ask Muyang to confirm in writing the route for your bracket, tooling ownership, the reports included in the price and the current certificate scope.
