Put the supplied state beside the price
The official introduction identifies 宁波奉化恒岙机械有限公司 at Yinhe Road, Qiucun, Fenghua. It describes a physical operation combining investment casting, coated-sand casting and machining. [1] That breadth makes the end of its responsibility important to the order.
Casting blank
Specify alloy/condition, as-cast features, machining stock and the condition supplied to the next operation. Identify who owns the finished dimensions.
Machined casting
Define finished datums, bores, mounting faces and the as-cast surfaces retained. Quote fixtures, machining and dimensional reporting separately from casting tooling.
Finished component
Add required heat treatment, surface finish/coating, cleaning, marking and final inspection. List excluded work so “finished” has a shared meaning.
The construction-machinery entry is a custom-casting family, not a compatible excavator replacement code. [3] Use its illustration to discuss scope; use your approved drawing to define the part.
Request a route for the part, not a route from a photograph
Henao lists carbon, alloy, stainless and wear-resistant steel castings. It says it added coated-sand processing in 2019, and its current menu separates water-glass, coated-sand, sand casting and machining. [1] [2] These are advertised options, not the selected casting’s material or routing sheet.
| Published option | Proposal to obtain | Purchase definition |
|---|---|---|
| Water-glass / investment casting | Chosen shell/mould route, alloy and critical geometry feasibility. | As-cast tolerance, stock and required material condition. |
| Coated-sand / other sand-casting family | Part-specific mould/core proposal and controlled surfaces. | Core/parting features, casting limits and agreed inspection. |
| CNC machining | Datum/fixture plan and proposed operations. | Finished features, measurement methods and acceptance stage. |
The homepage explains wax-pattern, shell, de-waxing, pouring and subsequent treatment stages. These general explanations do not establish every part’s process. Ask for the actual route and any subcontracted operation. Its machining-domain link did not connect during this review, so no separate machine inventory was authenticated there.
Translate foundry claims into your production slot
The company page reports three medium-frequency furnaces, 120-plus employees, a 6,000-plus m² production site and 6,000-plus tonnes annual capacity. [1] We have not audited these figures. Company-wide tonnage does not determine a particular alloy’s casting schedule or the machining bottleneck for your component.
- Material and lot planning
- Ask how the proposed heat/lot, material testing and identification follow the part through casting and machining.
- Tooling and sample slot
- Agree pattern/mould/fixture scope, revisions, costs, ownership and the first-article date.
- Repeat-order capacity
- Obtain the schedule for the exact route, quantities and downstream operations after sample release.
A broad export-market or application list is not a named customer approval. Qualification should use the quoted route, site and actual records rather than interpreting industry coverage as proven performance on a load-bearing component.
Make sample release carry into repeat orders
- 1
Freeze the purchase definition
Align drawing revision, alloy/condition, supplied state, critical dimensions and inspection methods. Specify the applicable casting-tolerance and machining-allowance basis rather than relying on “precision casting”.
- 2
Review one identified first article
Agree dimensional/material records, feature numbering, sampling and any required non-destructive or other tests. Resolve deviations before recording sample approval.
- 3
Control subsequent changes
Keep tooling, route, drawing and material revisions linked to repeat lots. Define notification and reapproval for changes and how incoming packages identify the delivered condition.
ISO 8062-3’s publisher scope distinguishes casting tolerances and machining allowances and does not apply to an undimensioned 3D CAD model alone. [5] This reference supports a clear drawing discussion; it does not assign Henao a tolerance grade or compliance status.
Check the document, not only the ISO heading
The company says it has ISO9001 certification. Its credentials page displays a quality-management certificate referencing GB/T19001-2016/ISO9001:2015, with an expiry of 31 May 2026. [4] That displayed date is before this review. We have not obtained an authenticated renewal or issuer-status result; no current certification badge is assigned.
Request a current certificate and issuer verification matched to legal holder, site and covered operations. Keep quality-system qualification separate from the component’s material/dimensional test records. The broad product-page claims of defect-free parts or direct assembly do not establish those results for your drawing.
